Media Writing, COMM11007 is a term 2 subject, and one that I am looking forward to immensely.  (Secretly I would love to be a writer).

I have been incredibly inspired by ‘Shantaram’ by Gregory David Roberts.  This book hypnotically portals the reader through space and time to hear, smell, touch, taste and experience the written scenes.  Two dimensional words translating to a four dimensional experience; just astounding … his description of a cup of chai tea evokes a desire to actually go and make a cup.

To write like this must be a gift.  Could I ever be as good as Gregory David Roberts, don’t know, don’t care, but how cool to learn more about a craft that can stir such joyous emotion, feeling and belief.

I hope that Media Writing, COMM11007 can be a step along this journey.
